The Warriors inflicted the third defeat in six games for the Wrexham based outfit.
The Warriors 88-63 away victory against Glyndwr Nets in Division Two of the National League was thanks to an 11pt 4th quarter from Luke Baker which include three 3 pointers
Warriors led 20-14 after the first quarter after being down 14-11 with three minutes left in the quarter with six points from Usman Baba who was proving he was going to be a problem for the West Londoners.
Nets were unable to break down a tight zone defence and left themselves open to swift counter attacks. Nets point gaurd Max Casenove scored with 8 points for the Nets as Jon Jay Johnson continued good form from the outside notching 10pts, many off of player coach Jay Williams game high 7 assists. Warriors went in at half-time 38-26 in the lead.
The Nets battled back and cut Warriors’ lead to 8 points in the second half. Baba and England International Delme Heriman scored 6 points each to provide hope for Nets who trailed 59-44 after the third quarter. However, Warriors were in overdrive in the final quarter and raced away with heavy scoring from Baker (11 points) to run out comfortable winners.
Coach Williams said after the game "We were up against a real physical game and the guys played strong with the ball, rebounding was better but still an issue! Luke Baker had the type of game we know he can produce shooting the ball very well and giving us a push in the 4th period"
After the game coach Matt Weedall said: “No complaints, we had a bad day at the office but we were beaten by a strong, quick outfit who will be up there at the end of the season.
